This is a nazuki shop with an iconic gray exterior located right next to the circular intersection in central Khashuri. Since there’s no sign displaying the name and it’s not on Google Maps or Yandex Maps, the official name is unknown, so here I tentatively call it “Gray Nazuki” due to its distinctive gray building. When traveling west on Georgia’s S1 Highway and approaching Khashuri’s circular intersection, if you smell the fragrant aroma of nazuki, it’s coming from this shop. This establishment serves yellow nazuki with relatively few raisins. I’ve visited here twice, and both times I was served warm nazuki that had been covered with cloth. Given its location right in front of the inter-city marshrutka terminal, I feel it’s quite a popular nazuki shop.
Actually, this was the shop where I first ate nazuki. In the sense that my nazuki journey might not have started if this shop hadn’t been there, it’s a shop of memories for me. Personal sentimentality aside, I recommend this shop to those who want to eat typical yellow nazuki in Khashuri.
