The first time I drove along the road through Surami—often referred to as “Nazukebi”—was in 2024. It was a strange sight: a series of handmade signs by the roadside, each displaying round, brown objects. I later learned that the bread being sold there was called nazuki, and I was captivated by its uniquely deep flavor.
However, most of the nazuki shops in Surami and Khashuri are small, family-owned businesses, and there was no systematic information available online. That is why I decided to put this website together. I hope it will be helpful to anyone stopping by Surami or Khashuri while traveling across Georgia.
